Suites at El Taj Oceanfront Condo Hotel offer a large terrace. El Taj property is composed by two buildings. Oceanfront suites offer sea views and direct beach access, while Beachside suites overlook the pool, fish pond and gardens. Each spacious suite has elegant Bali-inspired décor and a characteristic palapa thatched roof. A Smart TV and modern kitchen are included. Gourmet cuisine is served in El Taj Condo’s ASI restaurant, while pizzas, snacks and drinks are available in the beach bar. You can also request a private chef to prepare meals in your suite. El Taj is located in central Playa del Carmen, just 2 blocks from Fifth Avenue. This popular boulevard is home to boutiques, pavement cafés, bars and restaurants.

Great location and friendly staff, but the amenities fell short.
- What did you like most?The property is beautiful, and the staff—especially those at the front entrance—were very kind, welcoming, and helpful. The location is also great and very convenient for walking around Playa del Carmen, with plenty nearby.
- Was there anything you didn't like?While the room was spacious, it was extremely dark. Our room was in the building behind the main building, and the bedroom windows were lined with film, making it feel like nighttime even during the day. Because of this, the room didn’t feel very cozy or inviting. The pool area is nice but heavily shaded by surrounding buildings, with very limited seating. There is also limited beach access, so we didn’t end up spending much time using the hotel amenities, as they didn’t quite meet our expectations.
